Art Exhibition: Lost in a Vineyard
My name is Deanne Babare, I am happy to introduce an exhibition of my most recent works at Dinny Goonan Wines. I live in Winchelsea, where as a member of Winchelsea Creative Arts Network, I am involved in community art. The opportunity to present my work in a single exhibition has given me the pleasure of seeing the progression of my artistic expression.

When I was young I wanted to be a photographer but I am too impatient and I lacked the technical know how. However, to this day I frame my work as though I am looking through a photographer’s lens. I remember the expression ‘the camera never lies’; but today, we know this expression to be untrue. Media savvy, we have become the manipulators; the accessibility of digital technology has given us all the opportunity to create new realities and to move within those worlds. I am fascinated by the relationship between the created environment and the physical world. How we view ourselves in the natural world and the effects we have on the environment around us.

So please find yourself at the Cellar Door and enjoy the exhibition as I have enjoyed making it.
