The Cabernets is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec made from fruit sourced exclusively from the Nursery block. It is only available to Cellar Door and Mailing List customers.  While initially somewhat closed on the nose, this wine opens magnificently with airing and promises to be a great cellaring prospect.Colour: Mid purple with plum hues Nose: Predominantly cherry and blackcurrant fruit driven nose with undertones of cedar and leather. Palate: A complex palate of black fruits with hints of savoury leather and smoky oak. Smooth lasting finish complemented by velvety tannins. A tightly coiled wine that will reward longer term cellaring Serving suggestions: This wine works well with game birds such as duck or pigeon, and excels with Italian dishes such as osso bucco or veal involtini.
